Personal World Model
Research direction for an owner-controlled Personal World Model, with current implementation limits stated explicitly.
TL;DR: A Personal World Model is the research direction for an owner-controlled private agent that can use consented information to understand a person's context over time.
Status as of 2026-09-23: research direction. Current owner-scoped information and consent mechanisms have bounded implementation; continuous usage learning, hardware custody, full portability, and complete revocation and erasure evidence remain unverified.

What this is
One's Personal Knowledge Model (PKM) is the proposed information foundation for a Personal World Model: a useful, changing account of a person's relationships, preferences, records, and context. The research overview describes the intended experience.
From knowledge to a world model
- Owner-scoped information: The person controls which records and details the private agent may use.
- Learning with consent: A future model could adapt to the person's usage and corrections. Continuous personal training is a research goal, not a verified shipped capability.
- Context over time: The model should retain useful context without becoming a competing store of the person's records.
- Portable sharing: Scoped exports and receipts are the design direction. Owner-wide export, recovery, revocation, and erasure require further implementation and acceptance evidence.
Privacy boundary
Consent and owner authority gate access to information. The intended end state includes owner inspection, export, revocation, and erasure. Claims that the whole model runs on hardware the person owns, learns continuously from usage, or can be fully revoked and erased should wait for deployment and recovery evidence.
